Arbitration Award for Family of Alzheimer's Patient
Tom Doehrman earned an Arbittration Award for a 73 year old woman, in
the final stages of Alzheimer's Disease who died from a ruptured colon
in an assisted living facility. This unfortunate woman was totally
dependent on the facility's staff for her care. A three-member
arbitration panel found unanimously that the negligence of the staff was
the cause of this woman's untimely death. Damages were limited as a
result of the descendent's shortened life expectancy from her advanced
disease.*
